Donald Oglesby, Founding Director

Dr. Donald Oglesby founded Miami Collegium Musicum (then Collegium) in 1977. In 2023, after over 45 years of leading the choir, he stepped down from the directorship. Even then, Dr. Oglesby did not leave Collegium entirely, but remained active as a singer in the bass section. We lost our beloved Don (Dr. Oglesby) when he passed away in 2025 but are grateful his legacy lives on.  More information on Dr. Oglesby and his leadership of Miami Collegium Musicum can be found in the History section of the website.
